Huddinge HK was the first club to activate Solidsport’s new club solution. This means, among other things, the club can now offer its fans access to all live games from the club’s 16 different teams.
“We have received a lot of requests for a solution like this, so we are incredibly pleased that it is in place now,” William van Kerkvoorde, project manager at Huddinge HK told Solidsport News.
The current pandemic has made it difficult for many sports clubs. This has meant both reduced ticket sales while crowd restrictions forced parents and fans to stay at home when their children or favourite team play. One solution for many teams and clubs across nortern Europe has then been to start live stream their games on Solidsport.
The swedish handball club Huddinge HK is one of many sports clubs that have activated all 16 teams on Solidsport. Meaning that all of their teams, from senior to youth, can be watched live and on demand. Nowadays, all games of the club are broadcasted live.
Of course, the live broadcasts are a big plus. This creates a continued contact with the fans while parents, relatives and friends in particular can watch the games live from home. It’s very important to us,” William van Kerkvoorde, project manager at Huddinge HK told Solidsport News.
“A very good setup for us”
In addition to making the games available, the club’s live broadcasts via Solidsport have also generated important revenues when all physical sales during game event have disappeared during the current pandemic.
“I think the setup that Solidsport has is a very good for us and many other teams. In addition to a good service to anyone who wants to see our games, it’s an new and important source of revenue in these times, when other sources of revenue doesn’t exist in the same way,” he says.
“Now we can offer all games from all teams”
During wednesday Solidsport’s new club solution was launched. Huddinge HK has then been the first club to take part of it and all the technical benefits. The best part of it? Above all, it’s s a new technical structure that enables club to connect all their team channels to one main club channel. Supporters and relatives can at the same time become “Club Supporter” and get access to all live games on all club channels.
“It’s very good because we have so many teams in the club. A parent can have several children in different teams and therefore it’s very good that we can offer a subscription that gives access to all matches from all teams. We also believe that the involvement in the club will be greater when our viewers can watch the a-team games in addition to all our youth matches,” says William van Kerkvoorde.
What is the best thing about the club solution?
“The best thing is of course that we now can offer a subscription that gives access to Huddinge HK home games for all our 16 teams that are involved,” he says.
